At some point in our lives we start paying attention to details, appreciating them and enjoying the simple things in life.
One striking moment in our lives (Carawela’s founders, two portuguese brothers-in-law) happened as they used a small and portable fire oven. As family members and friends were enjoying their meal and each other, stories started to flow…
That oven brought people together, allowed for making much more than food for our body – it fed our lives.
So we came with a plan to share this with everyone.
We got excited about it and ideas arose at fast pace, 90% of them silly 🙂
From the first model we derived to the left and to the right, expanding to the range of products we now offer: Apogeu Wood Fired Oven, Nove Portable Plate Grill and Doze Plate Grill.
This process goes on, our goal is to make the best ovens and grills and spread our Portuguese Caravelas around the world, as they were centuries ago during the Portuguese discoveries.
We love fire cooking, calling our friends and neighbours, or even clients, suppliers or couriers. It’s a matter of arriving at the right moment and in a good mood.
This is our feedback loop, we want to know what they think could be better, how we can help to improve people’s life through fire cooking.
Feeling the sun and the wind.
Listening to the birds and smelling the grass.
Hearing kids run and play around.
Is there anything better?
There is: adding friends and good food to the mix.
It is an excuse and a pleasure we all should share together.
Carawela’s vision is to promote outdoor living, to inspire people to go out, enjoy it and enjoy each other while enjoying good healthy food.
Cooking with fire is a great way to enjoy each other while preparing and sharing a meal. Taking the time to start the fire, watching how it develops, preparing and cooking good food and enjoying it while sharing stories.
Carawela’s fire cooking tools create the perfect opportunity to invite people over for a meal and talk.
Do you have a story with fire cooking you want to let us know so we can share it?
We’d like to hear from you.
